Last week Awful Announcing rolled out their NHL poll, where readers rate the broadcast teams for each of the league’s 31 squads.

The Flyers’ crew placed 16th when this poll was done four years ago, earning a B grade on average. This year, the crew of Jim Jackson, Keith Jones, and Bill Clement came in 7th overall.

This is what the grading looked like for the top half of the results:

39.6% of the 613 responders gave the Flyers’ broadcast team an A grade. 29% went for a B. That sounds about right to me. I’d go somewhere in the A- or B+ range.

For what it’s worth, readers only ranked the Sixers’ team 19th overall, so I guess Flyers fans are a little more high on their crew than Sixers fans, though I felt like the #19 was pretty low for Marc Zumoff and Alaa Abdelnaby.
