Former NFL Quarterback Tarvaris Jackson Killed in Car Accident
Quarterback Tarvaris Jackson, who played nine NFL seasons, was killed in a car crash Sunday night:
Former #Seahawks QB Tarvaris Jackson died last night in a car accident in Alabama, a spokesperson for his employer Tennessee State tells me. Jackson, 36, was TSU’s QB coach. Along with Seattle, he also played for the #Vikings and #Bills.

Jackson was a Montgomery, Alabama native and played for the local Alabama State Hornets after suffering an injury at Arkansas and eventually transferring. He was picked in the second round of the 2006 NFL draft and went on to play 36 games for the Vikings before signing with the Seahawks, where he won a Super Bowl as Russell Wilson’s backup.
Eagles fans might remember playing against Jackson in the 2009 playoffs, a game the Birds won 26-14. Brian Westbrook had the massive 71-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter.
RIP TJack. Sad story.
TJack… you will be missed. Praying for your family…Love you man. 💔
