This should be the last Wentz/Clowney post of all time, then we can put the topic to bed forever.

The Eagles quarterback went on the WIP morning show today and answered Clowney questions from Angelo Cataldi, who beat that horse to death after the playoff game loss.

They started with the charity work Wentz is doing during the COVID-19 pandemic, then a generic 2019 season question, then this:

Cataldi: You’ve seen the play. Was it an illegal hit?

Wentz: (Laughing) I don’t want to get into the speculation. At the end of the day, whether there was a flag thrown or a fine, I was still knocked out. You know what I mean? I was still coming out of the game, I still wasn’t able to finish. So to me, I don’t know if 15 yards (from a penalty flag) would have made a ton of difference anyway. I don’t think there was any ill-will. I think Jadeveon is a heck of a player. Whether it was clean or not, I don’t think he intended to have a dirty hit. It was one of those fluky things, the way I was diving, the way he was diving. It’s just a bummer and unfortunate and we’re moving on now.

There ya go. Wentz has answered the question. Moving on now, forever.
