Ben Simmons, notoriously not a fan of booing, now seems to be very pro-boo in the absence of humanoid fans in the stands.

Speaking to reporters through the apocalyptic teleweb machine, Ben Simmons mentioned that he wanted animated fans on screens to be able to boo if the Sixers don’t perform well:

Ben, those aren’t boos. They’re yelling shooooooot. Like the worst traits of a Flyers power play in heat, no one wants that added pressure for someone whose over-under for three-pointer attempts in the next eight games is 2.5 (I took the under… and, cash).

Anyway, radical change of course here for Ben… who radically changed course in two days last April after he told fans who were going to boo to “stay on that side.” He then said he loved fans. Which I’m sure he does.

But perhaps he’ll appreciate playing ball without the added pressure of the boo… or the shoot. Whatever it is. 10, 9, 8…
