You can’t make this stuff up.

One week after the entire sports world blew up over DeSean Jackson sharing a fake Hitler quote, Jeffrey Lurie’s documentary film company finished work on their first production, titled The Meaning of Hitler.

Seriously.

It’s about Adolf Hitler, white supremacy, and fascism.

From ESPN:

The documentary, which uses the 1978 best-selling book of the same title as a guide, was filmed in nine countries over three years.

“We couldn’t be prouder that ‘The Meaning of Hitler’ is the first completed film made by our new documentary production company, Play/Action Pictures,” Lurie said in a statement. “I envisioned Play/Action to be a leading creative force for films that engage with the most crucial and challenging issues of our time. The rise of white supremacy and neo-fascism in the United States and the world over are among the most important and serious threats we face today.”

Lurie and GM Howie Roseman are both Jewish, and reportedly spoke with D Jax earlier in the week. DeSean agreed to do some educational things, such as touring the Holocaust Memorial Plaza in Philly, which is at 16th and JFK.

I haven’t seen the film yet, but can sum it up for you:

Hitler was a terrible genocidal maniac and therefore you probably should not quote him.”

Thank you, and time’s yours.
