The Phillies released their 2021 schedule this afternoon. While the planned 2020 60-game season is still more than two weeks away and remains rife with uncertainty, here’s hoping next year’s schedule has a bit more normalcy to it. Namely, it would be nice get fans back in the park.

Some highlights:

  • The Phillies will open the season at home against the Braves on Thursday, April 1, at Citizens Bank Park. Of course, you may recall the 2019 season series when the Phillies blew the doors off the Braves before slogging their way through a mostly mediocre campaign.
  • That series will be followed by three at home against the Mets on April 5-7.
  • Who’s up for a Gabe Kapler reunion? The Phillies will take on their former manager when they host the Giants from April 19-21.
  • The Phillies will host the Red Sox (May 21-23) and Yankees (June 12-13)
  • The Phillies visit Wrigley Field and Fenway Park for back-to-back series from July 5 through July 11, leading into the All-Star Break.
  • The Phillies will be at home on July 4 taking on the Padres.
  • The final six games of the season will be on the road at Atlanta and Miami.
  • Only 14 of the team’s final 30 games are at Citizens Bank Park.

Here’s a look at the full 2021 schedule.

It’s nice to plan ahead, I guess, but I’m dialed into 2020 right now. Let’s see if we can get through this season first.
