Still nothing from The Washington Post or any other media outlet regarding the super secret Redskins story that’s supposed to drop soon.
But “where there’s smoke, there’s fire,” as they say, and Adam Schefter at ESPN is reporting now that the Washington football team owned by Daniel Snyder has brought in a law firm to look over their internal procedures and blah blah:
Washington’s NFL team has hired D.C. attorney Beth Wilkinson of Wilkinson Walsh LLP to review the organization’s protocols, including its culture, policies and allegations of workplace misconduct, Wilkinson told multiple outlets on Thursday.
Wilkinson has represented the NFL in a lawsuit challenging the league’s Sunday Ticket Package and has also successfully represented the NCAA and Major League Baseball in class-action suits.
While Wilkinson is expected to conduct a deep dive into the organization’s past culture, team officials are highly upset and frustrated about ongoing online speculation, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
What a mess.
Just to recap:
Here’s Josh Norman getting in on the hint-dropping action:
This is like a taking a grease fire, placing it into an already-burning dumpster, and then airlifting the dumpster to Limerick and dropping it into the nuclear power plant. It’s an unmitigated disaster of the rudderless football team variety.
(Managing Editor’s note: I’m aware that “lawyering” is not a word)
