One thing is certain; whatever ESPN chooses for their college football anthem, it’s going to be stuck in your head for months. You’re going to hear it 500 times a day and it’s going to be included in every promo, snippet, and commercial the network runs from August until January.

In the past, they’ve graced us with God awful songs like Imagine Dragons’ “Natural” and Judah & the Lion’s “Let Go.” Both are really bad tunes, but the Imagine Dragons track could be one of the worst ever written. Possibly worse than than ‘Tubthumping’ and ‘Barbie Girl.’

This year, they’re going with Juice WRLD (featuring Marshmello), and released this promo video:

Juice WRLD actually died of a drug overdose in 2019, so that’s why it says “In Loving Memory” at the end of the video clip. At the risk of sounding insensitive, I’ll just say that I don’t get the auto-tuned sing-song contemporary approach to rap. Lil’ Uzi Vert, Playboi Carti, Migos etc, it’s all straight-up shit. I guess the kids like it. And hey, maybe they tune in to watch college football because their guy is doing the theme song this year.

Personally, Bob and I believe they should just go back to this and never change it:
