Not gonna lie; there isn’t a lot of work being done right now because it’s Friday, the Flyers are playing, and Bayern Munich is putting Barcelona through the wringer.

We’re watching hockey on NBC Sports Philadelphia, because Mike Millbury hates the Flyers and stinks in general, making the national broadcast borderline unwatchable (even with Boosh as the third member of the broadcast.)

Anyway, they’ve got Katie Emmer and Chris Therien doing analysis between the periods, and holy cow, they’ve got to be sitting at least 25 feet apart here:

This is appreciated because it shows that NBCSP takes social distancing seriously. They are not screwing around here, nor do they want to set a bad example via bad optics.

Still, it looks… just a little ridiculous, doesn’t it? You could drive a tank between those two desks, and the weird thing is that on other broadcasts, they’ve been pushing that small desk against the big desk, creating one pseudo-desk that keeps the talent safely isolated, but not to the point where you have to yell across the room at the other dude (or listen in your earpiece when you can see the other person with your own eyes). TV dorks or former producers will notice, however, that this shot is actually framed nicely, because Bundy is seated to the left of the 16-monitor display and the vertical stack in the back corner.

Anyway, just something to chew on. The Flyers are getting absolutely demolished right now and the game itself is not worth talking about.
