Flyers v. Canadiens Schedule is Out
I imagine if Gritty would talk, it would say something to the effect of, “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses,” or something like that. If you’re a Sixers fan reeling from another injury to a star player or a Phillies fan who watched the offense put in a wretched performance in a double-header against the Braves, don’t worry. There’s room on the Flyers bandwagon. The Orange & Black are about to enter the playoffs as the top seed in the Eastern Conference for the first time since 2000. Now we know when they’ll be taking on Les Canadiens de Montréal:
Some good news about the schedule: Not one of the first four games are scheduled to take place on an alternate network like USA or CNBC.
Game 3 on NBC taking place on Sunday night should be a thing of beauty. #Flyers #AnytimeAnywhere https://t.co/S733CfNorq pic.twitter.com/iWQRIOnjUx

The biggest positive takeaway from my vantage point is the fact that every game in this series is scheduled to take place on either NBCSN or the mothership NBC. We don’t have to fumble through guides looking for the channel number for CNBC (if you haven’t cut the cord yet) like fans in the Colorado/Arizona and St. Louis/Vancouver series will. Also, the league appears to have done a decent job at making sure the teams will play at favorable, consistent times. Don’t look at the Vegas/Chicago time slots unless you want to have a mild panic attack.
Anthony said on Snow The Goalie and The Press Row Show that he doesn’t think this series should be particularly close. While the top-end talent isn’t quite there with Montreal, they still have former future Flyer Shea Weber on the blueline and Carey Price in net. We say it every year, but teams with less talent can ride a hot goalie all the way to the Stanley Cup. Here’s hoping Carter Hart is up to the task and can outduel his idol.
