News broke on Monday morning that the Eagles would be without the services of running back Miles Sanders and tight end Zach Ertz against the Giants on Thursday night, and the odds reacted accordingly. The Eagles plummeted from a six-point favorite all the way down to a 3.5-point favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook in Pennsylvania by late Monday.
It appears, however, the market has stabilized, as action over the last 24 hours is pulling the line back in the direction of the Eagles. As of Wednesday afternoon, the Eagles are now a 4.5-point favorite over the Giants.
A 1-4-1 team as a 4.5-point favorite. What a world.

Despite the absence of Ertz, Sanders, and likely Alshon Jeffery, there was some positive injury news from Eagles head coach Doug Pederson on Wednesday morning.
The Eagles are also expected to get back the services of linebacker Duke Riley and cornerback Avonte Maddox. It will be interesting to see if the positive injury news has a further impact on what has been a turbulent Eagles vs. Giants line throughout the week.
Fortunately for the Eagles, as well as the 1-5 Giants, the NFC East is the division that keeps on losing, and it’s also the division that remains totally up for grabs through a pitiful six weeks of football. In almost any other division in any other season, a team with one win through six games would have virtually no shot at a playoff berth.
In this division, however, It’s more than enough to stay alive. Here are the latest odds to win the NFC East, per DraftKings:
Clearly, oddsmakers still view the division winner as a toss up between the Cowboys and Eagles, but the Giants and Washington could absolutely enter the legit contenders conversation with wins in Week 7.
Following a brutal stretch of the schedule, the Eagles now finally enter a run in which they will be expected to make some noise. They enter Week 7 with their current season win total set at six.
If they are to have any shot at hitting the over, they’ll need to go on a run against the likes of the Giants, Cowboys, and Washington, particularly with a schedule that still features the Packers, Saints, and Seahawks looming later in the year.
