The Eagles Have a Grand Total of One Receiver from the 53-Man Roster Practicing Today
Eagles practice update, and it’s not good.
Somehow the injury situation continues to get worse, despite the fact that we’ve already compiled a laundry list of guys who are currently on the shelf. The shelf is full. There’s no more room.
But look at this:
Alshon Jeffery (foot), DeSean Jackson (hamstring), JJ Arcega-Whiteside (calf) and Trevor Williams (ribs) are not practicing today.
Fletcher Cox (abdomen) and Rudy Ford (groin) have returned.

Opportunity for John Hightower, perhaps? –
John Hightower is not at practice either. That means the Eagles have one receiver on their 53-man roster practicing today.

One receiver.
They have one receiver from the 53-man roster practicing on Thursday, just three days out from Sunday’s game in San Francisco.
As it stands, the pass catching corps looks like this:
- Zach Ertz – healthy
- Greg Ward – healthy
- Dallas Goedert – fractured ankle
- DeSean Jackson – hamstring injury
- Jalen Reagor – on injured reserve with torn thumb ligament
- J.J. Arcega-Whiteside – calf injury
- Alshon Jeffery – returning from Lisfranc surgery
- John Hightower – not practicing today for some reason
- Quez Watkins – not yet activated from IR
- Richard Rodgers – healthy
- Miles Sanders – limited with a glute issue
Even the running back is not 100%, so it’s gonna have to be some combination of Ertz, Ward, Rodgers, Deontay Burnett, Travis Fulgham, Marcus Green, Hakeem Butler and/or whomever else they can pull off the scrap heap or practice squad for Sunday night.
It’s gonna be a disaster. San Francisco went into New York after losing their QB, #1 running back, and star defensive end, and still beat the Giants by 27 points. What are they going to do at home to a depleted and pitiful Eagles team?
