Remember when former coordinator Mike Groh was asked about integrating Golden Tate into the Eagles’ offense and said that “there is only one ball?”

Great quote at the time, a throwing of shade at Howie Roseman. They traded for a slot receiver when they already had one.

Tate left for New York in 2019 and had an okay first season with the Giants, but he only has 29 targets in seven games this year, which resulted in his wife dropping these fantastic Instagram posts:

Awesome. Find yourself a wife who will go type 750 words on Instagram, complete with YAC statistics and yardage totals from previous years. And she even admits she’s going to have to delete at some point, but doesn’t care, because she’s speaking up for her husband.

Here’s another post:

She’s not wrong.

Tate only had six targets over the last three games but two of those have resulted in touchdowns, one in the fourth quarter on Monday night when the Giants pushed the Buccaneers deep into the fourth quarter. And it’s not like the Giants are stocked with elite receivers. Darius Slayton is decent. Evan Engram has been a disappointment. Sterling Shepard is whatever. So you’d think you might look for the reliable veteran more often than not.

Anyway, good on Tate’s wife for calling the Giants and their awfulness. It would benefit the Eagles if New York beat Washington this weekend and then they go back to stinking it up when the Birds come to town in week 10.
