Should the Eagles try to trade Carson Wentz?

His contract is tough to move, but Indianapolis would make the most sense because Frank Reich had success with Carson in Philadelphia and Philip Rivers and Jacoby Brissett will both be free agents this offseason.

Here’s Peter King, on Colin Cowherd’s show, talking about Indy as a possible destination for Carson while shading 94 WIP at the same time:

King:

“I think the team that would be most interesting and the most interested is Indianapolis. It makes all the sense in the world. Reunited with Frank Reich. It’s in central Indiana. Everything is nice, calm and cool, and there’s not a WIP there.”

Shots fired!

Now listen, we don’t know anything about Indianapolis sports radio, or their sports media, but we can safely assume that they aren’t as intense or passionate as we are. They don’t have seasoned veterans like Angelo Cataldi and “The King”, Howard Eskin, asking the hard questions and demanding accountability. Indy sports reporters are nitwits, morons, and dopes. If they’re scared, they should get a dog.

But on a serious note, Carson Wentz would probably thrive in Indy, and Peter King is right that the fan and media pressure would be a lot more manageable there. They probably do a little more critical thinking in Indy and exhibit less of the emotional, knee-jerk, fake outrage overreaction that we are known for in this city.
