Bummer here.

Rodney McLeod tore his ACL and is done for the season.

Here’s what Doug Pederson had to say at Monday’s press conference:

“Rodney McLeod, I can say he’s going to miss the rest of the season. Torn ACL. It showed up on exam again this morning. Unfortunate with him that he’s going to miss the remainder of this season.”

Avonte Maddox, according to Doug, is going to “miss some time,” while Darius Slay is in the concussion protocol. At one point Sunday night they had K’Von Wallace, Marcus Epps, and Kevon Seymour out there with Jalen Mills and Nickell Robey-Coleman on the outside. It’s not ideal. Maybe they could have used Will Parks, but now they might have to turn to Grayland Arnold and Michael Jacquet for the Arizona game.

For McLeod, the recovery window will take him right up to the middle of training camp. You’ll recall he had the torn MCL in 2018, which limited him to just three games. He played all 16 last season and and has one year remaining on his contract with a $5.2 million cap hit. He turns 31 this summer.
