Gotta give credit to Bob, because he was on fire Sunday night. He was totally trashing the fraudulent Sean Payton after the New Orleans Saints once again bowed out of the playoffs and failed to live up to their potential.

This time, they turned the ball over four times en route to a double-digit home loss to Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who will go on to the face the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship Game.

Said Bobby:

lol, I mean Bob is absolutely right. Sean Payton stinks. This guy had 16 years of Drew Brees and turned it into one Super Bowl. He didn’t even get back to the Super Bowl despite making the postseason seven times after that first and only ring.

After Payton and Brees won it in 2009-2010, the Saints have just five playoff wins since. They have seven losses. How is that even possible? How do you only make one championship game appearance in 11 years? Payton has been blessed with talent like Alvin Kamara and Michael Thomas. That 2011 team went 13-3, with Brees throwing for 5,000 yards and 46 touchdowns. They had prime Jimmy Graham, Marques Colston, Darren Sproles, Roman Harper, and Jonathan Vilma, and still lost in the divisional round.

Look at what the Saints have done every year since winning their ring:

  • 2010: 11-5, lost in Wild Card round
  • 2011: 13-3, lost in Divisional Round
  • 2012: 7-9, missed playoffs (Bounty Gate year)
  • 2013: 11-5, lost in Divisional Round
  • 2014: 7-9, missed playoffs
  • 2015: 7-9, missed playoffs
  • 2016: 7-9, missed playoffs
  • 2017: 11-5, choked in Divisional Round
  • 2018: 13-3, lost NFC Championship Game thanks to the refs and also blowing a lead and committing a brutal overtime turnover
  • 2019: 13-3, lost in Wild Card round
  • 2020: 12-4, lost in Divisional Round

Three straight seasons of going out early, at home. We would be CRUCIFYING any Eagles coach if they did this with all of that talent.

And we can sit here and talk about the Rams game and the Nickell Robey-Coleman no-call, but the fact of the matter is that the Saints blew a 10-point lead and then threw a pick in overtime, so they had plenty of chances to seal the deal outside of that ridiculous sequence.

Sean Payton is a total underachiever. Smug. Arrogant. Runs up the score. He was mean to Jamie Apody and got himself suspended for an entire season due to Bounty Gate. Can’t get his team back to the Super Bowl despite having enormous amounts of talent.

Bob is right; Sean Payton is an all-time fraud.
