Jokes aside, Alshon was awesome in the Super Bowl year. 57 catches, 789 yards, and nine touchdowns. He added 12 catches for 219 yards and three TDs in the playoffs, and was a significant piece of the offense that year. He’ll always go down as a winner in my book. We’ll look back on him for that season when the dust settles five or six years from now.

Yeah, he dropped the pass against the Saints in 2018, and was often injured. The links to Josina were annoying, even if there never was empirical evidence to indict him as the locker room snitch. Ultimately, we all knew he was going to be gone this season, as the Eagles look to get younger and free up some cap room as they begin this transitional period.
