Fans were only allowed in Lincoln Financial Field for a few games this season, and perhaps that was a good thing, because this team wasn’t worth the time and effort. A live crowd would have booed this sorry squad into oblivion. They would have booed so loudly that the “Dirty 30” would seem like amateurs in comparison.

One of the collateral effects of replacing real fans with cardboard cutouts is that the program raised a TON of money for charity, as the Eagles tell us via press release:

As a result of the Eagles Fan Cutouts’ unprecedented success this season, the team announced that more than $260,000 in net proceeds were raised for the Eagles Autism Foundation. A total of 4,900-plus cutouts were purchased by Eagles fans from all around the world in 2020 and were installed in seating sections at Lincoln Financial Field as a way to recognize and honor their unrivaled fandom.

Due to the program’s popularity and the extraordinary response amongst Eagles fans, the net proceeds have led to the Eagles Autism Foundation eclipsing the $10 million milestone mark, an impressive feat for the public charity over its first three years since launching the inaugural Eagles Autism Challenge in May 2018.

That’s awesome. Great news right there. Probably the best Eagles news we’ve had in months. They may stink on the field of play but they’re really doing a fantastic job with the off-field charity work. Kudos to the organization.

This was how Coggin and I imagined the cutouts appearing in the stands, but sadly, we were wrong. The F Lot Crew and Pukemon (RIP) were not represented at the Linc:
