PHILADELPHIA – MARCH 23, 2021 – The Philadelphia 76ers today announced a new multi-year partnership with Hennessy, under which Hennessy will become an Official Spirit of the team. The 76ers are one of 10 NBA teams partnering with Hennessy to evolve its existing status as the Official Spirit of the NBA, WNBA, NBA G League and USA Basketball.

“We are excited to partner with Hennessy and have the world’s best-selling cognac become an official Spirit of the 76ers,” said 76ers Vice President, Corporate Partnerships Owen Morin. “We pride ourselves in aligning with world-class, innovative brands and Hennessy is one of the best. We look forward to bringing the spirit to our fans at 76ers home games.”

As part of the partnership, Hennessy will receive in-arena signage, digital and social activations including a presence within the 76ers official mobile app. The 76ers and Hennessy will also host a “Virtual Conversation” streamed across 76ers social platforms that will highlight the diverse small business community in Philadelphia. Viewers will have the opportunity to hear best practices and humble beginnings directly from two pre-identified small business owners. At the conclusion of the conversation, the 76ers and Hennessy will present a surprise gift to the two local businesses.

We’re gonna have to do a Hennessy launch event at the Wells Fargo Center, to celebrate this occasion. Free samples for fans and media! I think that’s a great way to kick off this new partnership as we welcome diehard supporters back to the arena. What could possibly go wrong?
