Let’s take a closer look at the top Wizards vs. Sixers Game 2 player prop picks and make some predictions for this May 26, 2021 NBA Playoffs matchup.
Wizards vs. Sixers Player Props (May 26, 2021)
The Eastern Conference’s top seed the Philadelphia 76ers will look to take a commanding 2-0 series lead in front of a raucous crowd in the City of Brotherly Love on Wednesday night. Philadelphia was able to overcome a first half which saw franchise center Joel Embiid play sparingly due to foul trouble. The Wizards held a one-point lead entering halftime, but the Sixers seized control in the third quarter, putting up a game-high 38 points as a team on their way to a 125-118 victory. Sixers forward Tobias Harris had himself quite the game, stepping up as Philadelphia’s primary scorer in Embiid’s stead. Harris finished the game with 37 points and 6 rebounds.

The Washington Wizards’ backcourt of Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook kept Game 1 close, combining for 49 points, 20 assists, and 15 rebounds. Starters Alex Len and Rui Hachimura both put up double-digit points, contributing 12 points apiece in the loss, while Davis Bertans and Daniel Gafford dropped 14 and 12 points, respectively. The biggest issue looming for the Wizards is how to stop Joel Embiid, who still managed to put up 30 points of his own in just 30 minutes of action.
Will Philadelphia take a strong 2-0 series lead or will Washington level the series before it heads to the nation’s capital?
Bradley Beal to Score 30+ Points (-128, FanDuel Sportsbook)
Rumors of Bradley Beal’s demise appeared to have been greatly exaggerated as the Wizards guard dropped a team-high 33 points in his team’s loss on Sunday afternoon. Beal’s 40:59 of game action was the second-highest total for Washington behind only his backcourt partner Russell Westbrook. Beal shot 13-23 from the field including just 1-6 from beyond the arc. He was also a perfect 6-6 from the free throw line.
Keep in mind that in his first two regular season meetings against the Sixers, Beal dropped 31 points in the season opener and a staggering 60 points on January 6 in Philadelphia. Overall, he’s scored at least 31 points in his last four road games against Philadelphia.
Given how much better Beal looked in Game 1 versus his team’s two play-in games when he scored just 22 and 25 points, we expect another high-volume shooting night for the runner-up for the league’s scoring title.

Joel Embiid to Record Over 43.5 Combined Points and Rebounds (-115, BetMGM)
Despite early foul trouble that limited his first half minutes, Sixers franchise center Joel Embiid finished at a point-per-minute pace, tallying 30 points in 30 minutes of game action. Despite shooting 0-3 from downtown, the MVP finalist converted 9 of 16 field goal attempts and went 12 of 13 from the charity stripe.
Although his six rebounds in Game 1 might not jump off the page, that’s as much to do with his sporadic play in the first half, more than being indicative of struggling on the boards. Keep in mind that Embiid pulled down double-digit rebounds in five of his last seven regular season games and averaged 10.6 rebounds per game overall this season.
Embiid scored 29 points and pulled down 14 rebounds in the season opener against Washington and followed that up with a 38 point, 8 rebound performance on January 6. He was well on his way to another dominant performance in a March 12 clash that saw him put up 23 points and grab 7 boards in just over 20 minutes of action before suffering a bone bruise that cost him ten games and likely the league’s MVP award.
Embiid’s propensity for getting off to a strong start, foul trouble notwithstanding, should propel him to an even bigger output in Game 2.

Seth Curry to Make Over 2.5 Three-Pointers (-106, DraftKings Sportsbook)
Shooters shoot and while most basketball fans would’ve expected Steph Curry to be the one hitting critical shots in the playoffs, it’s his brother Seth who fits the bill as Philadelphia’s resident sharpshooter. Curry was critical in providing much-needed floor spacing, allowing Ben Simmons to slash into the paint, Embiid to get deep into the post, and Tobias Harris to work with greater overall space.
Curry went 3-9 from beyond the arc and has hit at least three shots from downtown in nine of his last thirteen games overall. Curry’s three-point shooting has been even more consistent at the Wells Fargo Center as he’s gone over 2.5 made three pointers in six of his last seven games at home. Curry plays as important of a role as any Sixer not named Embiid, Harris, or Simmons. Expect Doc Rivers to get Curry involved in the game plan early and often with plays designed to get him open from deep.
