Anyone who watched Joel Embiid limp off the court last night as the Sixers were trying to close out the Wizards in their first-round playoff series probably figured he wasn’t going to be ready to play two days later. That suspicion was confirmed by ESPN Senior NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski late today:

Somewhat surprisingly, even with this news breaking, the Sixers are still favored by six points (six and a half in some places) to close the Wizards out and potentially get Embiid and his teammates some needed rest for the conference semi-finals. Assuming they get there, of course.
