Let’s get it back to hockey with a Flyers update:
Injury update: Flyers center Kevin Hayes underwent successful core muscle surgery last week. The surgery was performed by Dr. William Meyers. Expected time of recovery is five weeks. pic.twitter.com/akMfRLKTyn

Hayes didn’t have a good season. 12 goals and 19 assists over 55 games placed him in an 11-way tie for 136th in the NHL in points. He went all of April and May with just one goal and six assists and really fell off after playing really well in January.
He’ll be the third-highest paid player on the Flyers this coming season and they’ll need the Kevin Hayes of 2020 to show up again.
