From our Anthony SanFilippo:
The @NHLFlyers are acquiring Rasmus Ristolainen from Buffalo. Robert Hagg going back to the Sabres plus more.

You know Ristolainen. Righty defenseman on a stinky Sabres team that beat the Flyers three times. He’s 26 years old and coming off a season where he had 18 points in 49 games. 6’4″, about 215, big guy who should play on the second pairing here in Philadelphia next to Travis Sanheim.
If I’ve got it correct, the D pairings look like this:
- Provy/Ryan Ellis
- Risto/Sanheim
- Braun/York

Update with more on the deal:
Further to Ristolainen trade it appears 1st Rd pick for tonight and 2nd Rd in 2023. @espn @NHL #TSNHockey #HockeyTwitter

Ooof… that’s a little pricey. That’s an overpay. Might be more involved here. Standing by.
