Neither side will want to have to chase the game due to an early mistake, nor does either possess individuals with the type of greatness to create something from nothing. England may be the home side, but they have a young group that doesn’t have much veteran leadership on the pitch until Jordan Henderson enters around the 60 minute mark to preserve a lead or tie. The country has a history of choking in big spots with high expectations and a slip-up in these finals on home turf would just be the icing on the cake for a country that has gotten all too used to the set up and subsequent disappointment that its national team seems to provide regularly.
With Italy on a mission since missing out on World Cup qualification and playing so well under Roberto Mancini, we think they will find a way to steal the trophy.
