After a day of only baseball posts, let’s get it back to the Sixers.

This news probably doesn’t quite qualify as a Woj Bomb, but the Sixers have a new CEO.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports that former Rockets executive Tad Brown has agreed to become the CEO of both the Sixers and New Jersey Devils, replacing Scott O’Neil.

The key component to this news is that Brown has deep ties with current Sixers president of basketball operations Daryl Morey thanks to their time together with the Rockets.

As Wojnarowski and several others on Twitter have pointed out, Brown served as CEO of the Rockets for 15 years, working with Morey to build the team into a Western Conference contender.

No word yet on how he feels about Sixers fans or free throws. Stay tuned.
