Another New York Giant Retires During Training Camp
Not sure what Joe Judge is doing to these guys up there, but another Giant decided to retire:
#Giants veteran guard Zach Fulton is retiring from the NFL, per @TomRock_Newsday, making him the third NYG player to retire in the last few days. Fulton started 90 games in his 7-year career with the #Chiefs and #Texans. He signed with the #Giants earlier this offseason.

They lost another offensive lineman earlier this week. Just a few days ago:
Joe Looney is retiring, per source. The former Cowboys OL was signed recently to provide depth on the line. A surprising turn of events. #giants #cowboys

And on top of that, you have the Kelvin Benjamin situation from day one. The wide receiver was converting to tight end, allegedly came to camp overweight, had an argument with Judge and GM Dave Gettleman, and then was cut. He spoke to the media afterward, saying Judge had it out for him and never wanted him on the team in the first place.
Judge was asked about guys retiring and said this, credit to former Philly guy Matt Lombardo, who now covers the Giants:
“These are tough decisions on guys. As you get vets later in their career, they started training camp, it’s not uncommon for this to happen. Now, you don’t want it to happen, but you have to respect the decision each person makes for their family.”
Yeah, or maybe they don’t wanna play for you. Joe Judge is out here making these dudes run wind sprints and do push ups. Talk about Harry high school. Judge is running Giants training camp like he’s coaching 17 year olds at Strath Haven High School, down there in Wallingford. You’d never see a Philadelphia Eagle retire in the middle of training camp. It’s about the culture down at NovaCare. The Eagles treat their players like grown men while Joe Judge is out here acting like a hardo. A fake tough guy.
Go Birds.
