DeVonta Smith Sprained His Knee
We’re less than one week into training camp and already on that blue medical tent bullshit.
An update:
DeVonta Smith has a knee sprain. He’s week to week.

Great. That’s fantastic. The Heisman Trophy winner is week-to-week with an injury. We did not even get through one full week of training camp before a first-round draft pick found himself on the shelf. It is the curse of Philadelphia sports. The Navicular bone. Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. Blah blah, etc.
If we’re going Posidelphia here, at least we’re getting the crap injuries out of the way early.
Here’s another one:
Ryan Kerrigan injured his right hand. He’s heading inside with a trainer.

Isaac Seumalo is also week-to-week with his hamstring injury, while Brandon Brooks is day-to-day with a hammy.
I don’t have high expectations for this season, and will enjoy it as a fact-finding mission and transitional period. The only thing that can derail the Posidelphia is another horse shit injury situation, so please, God, spare us from that experience in 2021.
Update – looks like he’s gonna be okay:
#Eagles first-round WR DeVonta Smith has a minor knee sprain and should be out just a couple weeks. No cause for concern.

Whew.
Update 2 –
Update on Eagles’ first-round pick DeVonta Smith: He is expected to miss two to three weeks with a sprained MCL, per sources. Smith underwent an MRI on Sunday that revealed the injury.
