Most of the training camp reports have been whatever thus far. Guys playing against each other, dudes without pads catching touchdown passes, etc. Stuff like that. The scribes are doing a good job, there’s just not much of interest to the casual Eagles fan.

But today we’ve got the Patriots in town for joint sessions, so we’re getting some competitive reps. Some real battles out there on the football field.

Jalen Reagor had a nice grab:

Quez Watkins, too.

Maybe we gotta buy the Quez Watkins stock right now, before everybody else gets in on the gig:

He’s quick, isn’t he? Seems like he gets off the line really well and then just has that 2nd gear once he’s able to create separation. Maybe the Eagles stumbled into a gem with a 6th round draft pick. Go figure. That’s the most Howie Roseman thing ever. You miss on receivers in the 1st and 2nd rounds, but find a great one in the sixth. Funny how things work.

Couple of other updates:

Seems like the Eagles’ receivers are catching passes. UNLIKE AGHOLOR:

More from BLG:

Nelson Agholor is having success against the Eagles’ backup secondary but not so much against Philly’s starters.”

Seems about right. Most of the reports coming back say Darius Slay and Steven Nelson look good, but guys like Avonte Maddox and Michael Jacquet are having a tougher time.

Also this:

Couple of injury updates as well. Andre Dillard showed up wearing a brace and is listed as “week to week,” so Jordan Mailata, who was already winning the positional battle, is your left tackle. Davion Taylor is also week to week with a calf injury and Joe Ostman, who can never seem to get a break, has a concussion.
