For what it’s worth, Embiid is a big tennis guy. In 2017 he told us that he was known as “The Black Roger Federer,” which is a great nickname. My ceiling was co-captain of the 2002 Boyertown tennis team, with a 4-3 record and game modeled after Patrick Rafter, only much crappier. Serve and volley baby!

You’d have to put Embiid and Daryl Morey on the Mount Rushmore of tennis doubles partnerships, right? I’d put them right up there with Venus and Serena Williams. With the Bryan brothers. I’d put Embiid and Morey right up there with Martina Navratilova and Pam Shriver.
