Natalie Egenolf announced her 97.5 the Fanatic departure a few months ago and spent the early part of summer dropping hints about her new gig.

Turns out it’s a digital media thing with Parx, also involving Dei Lynam and Sam Wilson. Here’s the press release, in part:

BENSALEM, PA – Parx, one of the leading mobile Casino and Sportsbooks in Pennsylvania, today announced that Natalie Egenolf has joined the Parx Interactive team as part of their new digital media division launch.  Natalie, who has successfully cultivated one of the most engaged audiences in sports and beyond in the Philadelphia market, will help with Parx’s content creation strategy. Parx also announced Philadelphia-based Dei Lynam, who has covered the NBA for the past 25 years for Comcast Sportsnet, beginning as a 76ers sideline reporter and studio host and later Sixers pre and post game analyst, has also joined the team. In addition to Natalie and Dei, Parx has also added Sam Wilson, who recently worked at 97.5 The Fanatic and she currently hosts the television show “Down the Line with Charlie & Bo” airing on NBC Sports Philadelphia.

“Over the last 24 months, the sports media landscape has changed. Sports betting has integrated into everyday sports content.” Said Natalie Egenolf.  “Parx is the number one casino brand in the market and I’ve seen their growth and execution firsthand.  After learning about their digital media strategy along with their national rollout plans, I knew this was an opportunity where I can contribute right away to take advantage of this growing market. This is such a natural fit for me as I will produce sports-focused content, but also have creative autonomy as well.  We will roll out daily sports content and lifestyle pieces, as well as produce long-form digital content and original podcasts across all of the Parx platforms.  We plan to inform, captivate, and entertain our audiences, not just hit viewers over the head with betting odds.”

Nat explains on Twitter that she’s leading this endeavor:

Sounds like a good gig. Just don’t tell Natalie that Parx is located in the suburbs. Heyo! <rim shot>

(I had to do it to her; had to get a city limits joke in there).

But for real, congrats to Nat on the new gig. She said she wanted to get paid for her brain, and this would appear to satisfy that desire. Most people do not simply walk away from P.M. drive on Philadelphia radio, so it takes some guts to make that leap. Gotta give her credit for leaving a good job, stepping out on her own, and jumping head first into something new and different. It’s the gutsiest move in Philadelphia since Nick Foles asked Doug Pederson if he wanted Philly Philly.

Plus, this job seems much safer. A much more stable environment. She does not have to worry about co-workers slinging head phones across the room.
