This guy was put on waivers by the Canucks in order to make room for Alex Chiasson. The Flyers came in and claimed him.
He’s a brawler who had six fights last year and was the guy involved in the recent donnybrook where Zack Kassian hit the ice without his helmet:

MacEwen’s game is pretty straightforward. Bottom-six guy who brings physicality. The Flyers haven’t exactly been the Broad Street Bullies of old in recent years, so he does fill a void in that department. He’s 6’3″, 25 years old, and played 34 games for Vancouver last year, bagging one goal and one assist. He hits the cap at $825,000 this season and then becomes a restricted free agent.
