Steph Curry set the three-point record on Tuesday night in front of repulsive New Yorkers at Madison Square Garden. You love to see it, and in case you didn’t, here’s the video of Steph eclipsing Ray Allen’s mark:

It’s so impressive, and the crazy thing is that Steph did it in 789 games. Ray Allen played 500+ more games to reach that mark. If you extrapolate the numbers, Curry would have something like 4,900 threes by the time he reaches Ray Allen’s ~1,300 game mark. It’s something else.

But the real question is this –

Will Ben Simmons break Curry’s record? He only needs 2,973 more three pointers to get there. Ben is currently on five total made threes, and if he continues at that pace, he’ll finish his career with 18-20 made three pointers, which is right up there with the great three-point shooters of all time, guys like Yao Ming and Reggie Evans.

BUT YOU NEVER KNOW. Ben could end his hold out and come out firing. The Sixers could send him to Portland in a Dame Lillard trade, and then Simmo the Savage finds his confidence and begins to bomb away from deep.

I’m mostly joking here, just having some fun, but I’m also incredibly annoyed with Ben because his stupid situation has made this Sixers season a borderline farce. Daryl Morey needs to #DoTheDeal. Serenity now!
