Let’s get it back to football.

The Eagles are oh so close to Carson Wentz logging 75% of the Colts’ snaps this season, which would cause the second round pick the Birds received in the trade to convey as a first rounder instead.

Here’s what Carson has done this year:

  • week 1: 76 snaps (100%)
  • week 2: 62 snaps (93%)
  • week 3: 61 snaps (100%)
  • week 4: 71 snaps (100%)
  • week 5: 69 snaps (100%)
  • week 6: 48 snaps (100%)
  • week 7: 68 snaps (100%)
  • week 8: 80 snaps (100%)
  • week 9: 62 snaps (100%)
  • week 10: 64 snaps (100%)
  • week 11: 62 snaps (90%)
  • week 12: 69 snaps (100%)
  • week 13: 62 snaps (86%)

Wentz was pulled in the second half on Sunday because the Colts were annihilating the Houston Texans. But he’s at 854 snaps, which amounts to 97.49% through 13 weeks. Indy is on a bye this week, and then they play the Patriots, Cardinals, Raiders, and Jag-wires to end the season, so if you extrapolate the 66 snaps per game average, he should cross the 75% threshold in the first half against New England.

We’re very close. We’re almost at the finish line here. If the season ended today, the Birds would picking 12th, 13th, and 17th in the draft, via their natural pick, Miami pick, and then Indy pick, respectively.
