Washington Starting Garrett Gilbert Against Eagles
Taylor Heinicke and Kyle Allen did not clear protocol:
WFT Garrett Gilbert is starting tonight vs Eagles, per source.

#Washingtonfootball Team QBs Taylor Henicke and Kyle Allen continue to test for COVID-19 and therefore will not play tonight against the #Eagles, sources tell me and @TomPelissero.
Garrett Gilbert, who was with the #Patriots this time last week, will start.

There was an outside chance Washington’s QB1 and QB2 could test clean, then get on a private jet to Philadelphia, but that didn’t happen. Instead, they’ll go with a third stringer who played one game for the Cowboys last season and was a 6th round pick back in 2014.
Gilbert’s stats in the Cowboys’ 2020 loss to the Steelers: 21-38, 243 yards, 1 touchdown, 1 interception, 28 yards on three rushes.
Eagles win this one easily. Forget the jinx. This isn’t Joe Webb 2.0. The Birds come out and steamroll Washington and improve to 7-7 on the season with the playoffs in sight.
