Jalen Reagor had himself another forgettable game, this time in Tampa, in the postseason. He caught one of his three targets for two yards and muffed two punts, losing one in the process.

As he was stinking up the joint, we got reassurance from Chad Ochocinco on Twitter, who told us to just be patient because Reagor is gonna figure it out next year:

Johnson said something like this two years ago. He said “watch the magician this season,” and then Reagor went on to log 394 yards and one touchdown during his rookie year. He actually got worse this year, and chipped in 299 yards while finding the end zone twice.

But rest assured, it usually takes players a bit to figure it out, and Johnson wants us to know that:

Here’s the thing –

Nelson Agholor actually improved from year 1 to year 2. He added about a hundred receiving yards and a touchdown. His targets increased from 44 to 69, and then he had the breakout with 700+ yards and eight touchdowns en route to a Super Bowl ring.

Reagor went from 54 targets and 31 receptions to 57 targets and 33 receptions, for about one hundred fewer yards. We all know that progression isn’t necessarily always taking place on a linear scale, but you saw a glimpse or two from Nelly that first year with Carson Wentz, and this year the only thing you saw from Reagor was jack shit. He didn’t look comfortable or confident as a receiver OR a returner.

Hopefully Chad Johnson is on to something here, because Eagles fans aren’t really buying it.

By the way, his Twitter account is pretty entertaining. These two made me laugh:
