Let’s see what’s going on in Bensalem.

Well now, it would appear as though there was an insane weekend brawl at the Golden Corral on Street Road, near the 95 exit where that Aldi and Texas Roadhouse are:

Holy cow. That’s quite the fracas. A next-level donnybrook. This makes Dallas Cowboy fans clobbering each other look like child’s play.

It would seem as though there’s just an argument taking place here, then the escalation is when somebody picks up a chair. There are two high chairs then, you know, for little kids, that are weaponized and turned into blunt force objects. Then one guy picks up an entire damn table before he’s stopped by an employee (she’s wearing an apron), and then they decide to go back to the high chairs and hurl them at the other party anyway.

My favorite part is how it says “gather round” on the back wall, as if everybody is there to have a fun family dining experience. It’s “all you can eat” fisticuffs at the Golden Corral.

Here’s what Jo Ciavaglia wrote at The Intelligencer, which is the local paper up that way:

Bensalem Director of Public Safety William McVey confirmed the department is actively investigating what happened Friday around 4:30 p.m. at the Golden Corral Buffet & Grill restaurant in the 1400 block of Street Road.

McVey did not have an exact count of of how many people were involved, but officers believe it was more than 40. The fight left the dining room heavily damaged and sent people fleeing for safety.

Police were not aware of any serious injuries and no arrests had been made as of Sunday night, McVey said, noting police have seen the video.

Ciavaglia notes that police believe this started as an argument. Must have been a pretty serious one, because most arguments don’t end with high chairs being thrown across the dining room. Instead of an endless buffet of food we got an endless buffet of violence and destruction.

EDIT – I spelled Jo’s last name wrong in the original version of this story. Sorry Jo. My bad.
