Matt Stafford at the Center of Thursday’s Big Internet Argument (updated)

The LA Rams did their Super Bowl parade on Wednesday. All 10 of their fans showed up.
But the big story on Action News is this video clip:
Stafford saw her fall and told Kelly to take care of it pic.twitter.com/FmzGJNZQXf

That’s a photographer named Kelly Smiley who fell off the stage, and she told everybody on Twitter that she fractured her spine. Stafford, who was completely hammered, is getting ripped for walking away and not checking on her.
You can see Stafford’s wife, also named Kelly, walk over to the edge of the platform there and check on the Smiley, and then the video we have cuts off. Smiley added that she ended up in the ER and both of her cameras broke
There’s a Go Fund Me that was set up for Smiley, which is aimed towards paying her medical bills and replacing the equipment. The Twitter argument is centered on whether Stafford looks bad for walking away and doing nothing to help her. It’s a “bad look for him,” as some people are saying.
If you saw the other clips of him at the parade, he was totally sloshed, and probably not in a position to help, though I agree it does look kind of shitty for him to just turn and go in the opposite direction. Maybe he could throw some money towards the Go Fund Me and/or replace her equipment and say “hey sorry, I didn’t mean to come off as a dickhead, I was just totally wasted up there on the stage.” Then it’s all good.
UPDATE –
there it is:
Rams’ QB Matthew and Kelly Stafford announced they will be covering the medical expenses for Kelly Smiley, who fell off a stage during Wednesday’s Super Bowl parade and fractured her spine: “We have been in communication with Kelly Smiley … and we are sorry for what happened.”
