Nike is releasing Phillies throwback SB Dunk Lows sometime in 2022. So if there ends up being no baseball this season, it looks like Phillies fans will still be lining John Middleton’s pockets in other ways:

According to SneakerNews, Nike seems to be focusing this collection on MLB rivalries:

Nike SB seems to have a special MLB Pack of Dunks in the works in 2022, and although just two colors have been revealed, there seems to be a focus on rivalries. As you know, their NL East rivals will be getting their own via the SB Dunk High Mets, but they’ll be matched up with this SB Dunk Low inspired by the Philadelphia Phillies and their admittedly gorgeous throwback colors.

Here’s what the Mets SB Dunk High’s look like. 0/10. They look like something you’d buy in April and they’d fall apart by August:

The Phillies shoes, on the other hand, are a masterclass in design because they’re using the greatest color scheme in team history, the powder blue:

Every time I see the Phillies’ powder blues all I can think of is Bryce Harper walking it off against the Cubs in 2019:

The blue looks like the water in Ibiza. The bubble gum pink on the heel reminds me of Bazooka Joe. They incorporated the bell at Citizens Bank Park on the tongue of the shoe perfectly. It’s a 10/10! You could rock these at the ballpark or wear them to a wedding and steal all the attention from the bride. Shout out to Nike for the design and not putting some overplayed imagery on the tongue like Rocky or a cheesest…

Wait a minute.

OH WHAT THE FUCK!
