Phillies news:

Haseley was one of the five dudes the Phillies tried to replace Odubel Herrera with last year. He left the team for personal reasons, resurfaced in the minors, and is now headed to Chicago. He was the 8th pick in the 2017 draft.

Here’s what Bob says:

“Change of scenery may do him well. Posted a respectable .720 OPS as a 23-year-old, but then seemingly lost all ability to drive the baseball. Just six total XBH (0 HRs) over parts of last two seasons (49 games).”

McKinley Moore is a big boy. 23 years old, 6’6″, 225 pounds, a right handed reliever who logged a 4.43 ERA in two minor league seasons. He is the 27th-rated prospect in the White Sox system and very much a project.

Here’s the blurb from the press release:

“Moore, 23, appeared in 37 combined games last season for high-A Winston-Salem and low-A Kannapolis.  He posted a 4.20 ERA (19 ER, 40.2 IP) and struck out 59 of the 181 batters he faced (32.6%).  He also appeared in 10 games for Glendale in the Arizona Fall League and struck out nine batters in 10.2 innings of work.

A 6-foot-6 native of Houston, Texas, Moore was originally selected by the White Sox in the 14th round of the June 2019 draft out of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.”
