"This Has Gotta be Illegal as Hell" - Brett Myers Says Cops Helped the Phillies Procure More Beer
Brett Myers was on The Farzy Show with Marc Farzetta and told a story about Philly cops helping them get beer because Pat Burrell ran out after the World Series victory:

Pat Burrell running out of beer is like the Middle East running out of sand. If America runs on Dunkin, The Machine runs on alcohol:

Here’s the entire interview with Brett which starts around the 22:00 minute mark:
Originally a reader pointed out to us that during the interview it seemed like there was some bad blood between the Phillies and Brett Myers. Brett mentioned that he didn’t want to see the Phillies win a World Series until he died and that he didn’t like Bryce Harper. Of course things can get lost in translation when you’re listening and not watching. Here is the video clip our reader was talking about:

Seems tongue-in-cheek. Myers seems like he’d care more to be on the last Phillies team to ever win a World Series instead of the Phils never winning it again. How can you blame him? That team will forever be enshrined in Philadelphia lore. On the other hand, the reason why he doesn’t like Bryce Harper is because he’s a pitcher and Bryce is a hitter. Seems like it’s some fabricated pitcher machismo shit more than bad blood.
Listen to the entire interview. Great story about his last beer with Harry Kalas and some insight into the lockout:
