So he made slight contact with Lance Stephenson’s beard on a fake movement. Second tech, ejection!
For some context, there was an earlier incident between these two, with a bit of shoving that resulted in double techs. Stephenson has always been a bit of a pest, and he’s good at getting under people’s skin, but this looks like a “sike” kind of false elbow motion from Rivers, and he gets tossed anyway. Stephenson didn’t flop, but looked at the ref and pointed to Doc’s son in an attempt to highlight what happened, as if the ref wasn’t looking at him already.
Mike Singer at the Denver Post:
Michael Malone said the explanation he got from Tony Brothers on Austin Rivers' ejection was that it was a "malicious act."
Malone told him he didn't make any contact with him.
Said they're going to talk to the league office about the ejection.

Ah, so it was Tony Brothers. Makes sense now. Brothers is the worst ref in the NBA. This could be the worst call of the year. Could be the worst call of all time!
