Devon Allen Was DQ'd From 110-Meter Hurdles Because of the Worst False Start Rule Ever
The fastest man in hurdles Devon Allen was DQ’d in the 110-meter finals at the World Athletics Championships over the weekend because of a false start:
Devon Allen was disqualified from the men’s 110m hurdles after he false-started .001 seconds faster than the .1 limit

How the hell was this a false start?
Devon Allen SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN DISQUALIFIED.
He didn’t jump the gun.
He didn’t flinch.
He got punished for being TOO FAST.
Watch for yourself.

I watched Jason Peters for 11 years and I know what a false start looks like.
The World Athletics’ rule is if the runner reacts faster than 1/1000th of a second he is DQ’d. Devon Allen’s reaction? 0.099. Brutal. Even shittier is the guy next to Allen, Grant Holloway, who looked to move at the exact time as him, wasn’t DQ’d and took home gold! I need an investigation into this. Especially when lane two started quicker and somehow came in with a reaction time almost 3/1000th’s of a second later:
They tossed Devon Allen out in lane 3 for a .001 of a second jump start. Video shows lane 2's right foot started first. Wired wrong?

Listen, I’m not here to shame the olds, but do you think we can get a couple guys who didn’t sit behind Moses in the third grade in the replay booth? Jesus Christ, we have guys with their Olympic futures on the line and these guys remember the first color TV:
