So it looks like this isn’t his original 2008 ring. I guess the Phillies gave two to each player, and Moyer’s second ring is up for auction, according to the Goldin Auctions description:

Presented is an official Masters of Design Jamie Moyer World Series ring that was in addition to his original player’s ring. Masters of Design was the company that was retained by the Philadelphia Phillies to make their World Series rings. This huge ring, which weighs approximately 81.26 grams, is made of 14-karat gold and has the prominently raised “P” set atop a ruby inlay and surrounded by a sparkling sea of diamonds. The same diamonds also appear on both shanks, as part of the Liberty Bell logo on the right shank that has “MOYER,” “Phillies,” and “50” in raised lettering, while the opposite shank has the stones in the centers of the “00” of the “2008”, while the Commissioner’s Trophy image rests in the center of Citizens Bank Park. Flanking the trophy image is “P 4” on the left, and “TB 1” on the right. The inside band of this size 12 ¼ ring has the “14K” engraving. The ring is accompanied by a 6 x 7 ½ x 3-inch frosted-glass presentation box which was the same design that was presented to the players. The top of the glass reads “PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES 2008 WORLD CHAMPIONS.”

That’s a solid ring. If you have $10k lying around this would be an awesome get and honestly the way the economy is heading, having gold at your disposal can’t hurt. You might have to use this as a bartering chip at your local grocer for a pound of meat the way prices are skyrocketing.
