This was mentioned the other day by Bobby Marks, who suggested the NBA should investigate the Sixers because James Harden took a pay cut. People need to get over this. Harden took $32 million this year, which may actually be market value for the guy we saw on the court this past season. Plus, he’s got a player option that allows him to opt out and sign a huge deal somewhere else if he has a good year, which would take him to age 36 or 37 and actually extend his NBA career and earnings.
Unless the NBA investigates Michael Rubin’s white party and uncovers some sort of Fanatics-involved collusion and side hustle here, then this is a nothing story. A nothing burger. A hamburguesa de nada.
Have a fantastic weekend.
