So Derek Barnett, who has a history of doing dumbass things and most recently had to be told by Nick Sirianni not to do anything stupid in practice, goes out and allegedly headbutts a guy coming off a concussion. A teammate! It’s one thing to do dirty shit to opposing players, but imagine doing it to one of your own guys.

We don’t have Barnett’s side of the story, and maybe he’ll claim he wasn’t trying to do anything intentional or cross the line, but Barnett doesn’t get the benefit of the doubt because there are documented dopey incidents spanning several years now. We did a story about Barnett’s stupidest penalties in an Eagles uniform, which included two late hits, a roughing the passer flag, and a cheap shot on a guy who was 50 yards away from the play. He is, straight up, a dirty player who can’t seem to figure it out and should be on a short leash this year. If he doesn’t clean it up and doesn’t produce, the Eagles have an out that leaves them with $1.5 million in dead cap next season.

Side note: I’m gonna go “stock up” on Andre Dillard. Don’t trade him. Keep him. Dude seems like he’s come a long way in a short time and the Eagles need all of the offensive line studs they can carry on the roster.
