2022 Eagles Radiothon Breaks Fundraising Record
From the inbox:
The Philadelphia Eagles and SportsRadio 94WIP – a member station of the Audacy family – are proud to announce that the 2022 Eagles Radiothon, presented by Firstrust Bank and The Green Family Foundation, raised a record-breaking $480,000 and counting for the Eagles Autism Foundation. From Wednesday, August 24 to Wednesday, September 7, Eagles fans and autism supporters had the opportunity to bid on exclusive experiences involving their favorite Eagles players and SportsRadio 94WIP radio personalities. All proceeds will benefit the Eagles Autism Foundation’s mission to raise funds for cutting-edge autism research and care programs.
Fans can still bid on Eagles Chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lurie’s midnight green Original Model S Tesla through 5:00 pm on Tuesday, September 20. In addition, the exclusive 2022 Eagles Radiothon t-shirt designed by defensive end Brandon Graham will remain on sale until the end of September at Eaglesradiothon.com.
Wow. Nearly half a million dollars and counting. Great job everybody. Props to the Birds, WIP, and bidders.
Kyle wrote about Jeffrey Lurie’s Tesla a few weeks ago. At the time, the current bid was $30,000, and right now it looks like that’s up to $56,000, so the Radiothon is going to crest the $500,000 total mark.
Crossing Broad needs to do a charity event one of these days. Start thinking of some experiences we can offer to fans, like, “spend a day in Kevin’s house writing shitty blog posts” or “hold the camera for Kyle Pagan when he does a man on the street video.” Maybe we can offer up some guest articles. Those have to be worth at least 5 bucks. All proceeds go to Ronald McDonald House or another great charity. Let’s figure this out and then launch Crossing Broad-a-thon in 2023.
