Man, it’s pretty hard to disagree with Graham at this point, even though we’re only three games in. A lot of things fell into place for that 2017 team, with Nick Foles getting hot, the defensive line playing lights out, all of the underdog and disrespect stuff that was taking place, etc. You had guys like Big V coming in and covering for injured starters.

But on paper you could make a decent argument that the talent on this squad is better in several areas. Would you take Alshon Jeffery and Nelson Agholor over A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith? Darby and Mills over Slay and Bradberry? Patrick Robinson vs. Avonte Maddox? Damn, that is a TOUGH choice. You also had Malcolm Jenkins and Rodney McLeod on that team as well, but this version probably has an even better offensive line, which is hard to believe, since the Big V/Wisniewski/Kelce/Brooks/Johnson line was excellent.

It’s actually an interesting exercise. You could go through every starter on each team and do the comparisons. I think Blount and Ajayi is a better RB combo than what the Eagles have right now, but so far Jalen Hurts looks just as good as Carson did through three games and the offensive weapons are nasty. Maybe we can do this full exercise on Crossing Broadcast.
