Blah blah “no one cares about soccer” and whatever, but shout out to local guy Jim Curtin for winning his second MLS Coach of the Year award over the past three seasons:

Holy moly with that vote. He finished with 23.57% and the runner up got 23.47%. I can’t ever remember seeing that type of disparity between the media vote and the player/GM vote. Very interesting!

If you’re keeping track, the Union host the Eastern Conference Final on Sunday. Andre Blake won Goalkeeper of the Year. Jakob Glesnes won Defender of the Year. They had a historically great season with a +46 goal differential. Even if they fall short of making the championship game, these individual accolades help cement the best year in franchise history.

Alright, now let’s get it back to “real” sports because we wouldn’t want to offend anyone.
