Krystle Rich-Bell Announces New Gig
Last week, Krystle Rich-Bell revealed that NBC Sports Philadelphia would not be renewing Sixers Outsiders, which was the network’s post-postgame show. She noted in a Twitter thread that she was interested in the Sixers sideline reporting gig, which is returning this season, but she won’t be continuing in Philly and is taking a new gig in LA:
Thrilled to be joining @KTLA as the newest addition to their sports team! I will field report, anchor & be involved with the station’s new @LAClippers partnership! Thank you to the wonderful management team & my super supportive husband❤️! So excited for this new adventure in LA! pic.twitter.com/dWX3j9G1J6

KTLA? That’s a great station. Television market #2, only smaller than the New York City DMA. And the Clippers are an interesting team. You’ve got Paul George, Kawhi coming back from injury, and Ty Lue at the helm.
Some details on the KTLA/Clippers partnership:
KTLA 5 and the L.A. Clippers announced Tuesday a broadcast television partnership that will return live Clippers games to over-the-air television in Southern California for the 2022-2023 season.
KTLA 5 will broadcast four preseason games and 11 regular season games, and produce pre-game, halftime, and post-game coverage, both organizations said in a news release.
As for NBC Sports Philadelphia, Taryn Hatcher is moving off Flyers pre and postgame and will take on a role doing Sixers and Phillies sideline reporting, but only for home games. She’s currently doing some Eagles stuff as well, Birds Huddle and whatnot. NBCSP has been auditioning folks for the vacated Flyers gig, so hopefully I’ll have something soon for you on that front.
