Rhys Hoskins Getting Emotional About Making the Playoffs for the First Time was Pretty Damn Cool
Rhys Hoskins got the postgame interview after the Phillies clinched and he teared up almost as soon as Pat McCarthy started talking:

That’s awesome. Pretty cool to see emotions from an entire season pour out of an athlete when he finally gets the monkey off his back. Don’t know what the offseason holds in store for Rhys Hoskins, but it’s awesome to see him, Aaron Nola, and Zach Eflin finally get to know what it’s like to play in the playoffs. Jean Segura ends the longest active playoff drought in MLB. Rob Thomson is set to manage his first playoff series. Bryson Stott, Alec Bohm, Nick Maton, Ranger Suarez, Matt Vierling, and Brandon Marsh get a taste, too. Who knows? Maybe this team will have the weight of September collapses fall off their shoulders and they’ll make some noise in the #YOFFS.
Rhys mentioned the group effort it takes to get here. That includes the player’s wives, who celebrated the last out together:
